May the prayer strengthen us for that spiritual battle mentioned in the letter to the Ephesians: "Draw strength in the Lord and in the force of his power" (Eph 6: 10). It is this same battle to which the Book of Revelation refers, recalling before our eyes the image of St. Michael the Archangel (cf. Ap 12: 7). Pope Leo XIII was certainly aware of this scene, when, at the end of the last century, he introduced throughout the Church a special prayer to Saint Michael: "St. Michael the Archangel defend us in battle; be our shelter against the evils and snares of the evil one ... ".

Although this prayer is no longer recited at the end of the Eucharistic Celebration, I invite everyone to not forget it, but to recite it to obtain help in the battle against the forces of darkness and against the spirit of this world.

– St. John Paul II.  Regina Coeli. Apr. 24, 1994. Part 4. (Translated from Italian)
Hope is the virtue of those who, experiencing conflict – the struggle between life and death, good and evil – believe in the resurrection of Christ, in the victory of love.
